Alan Chapman returned for his second visit to Palm Tree in March and what an incredible session he had topped of by two lake records firstly a Chinese black carp, and then an awesome 46kg Salween rita which is also the tenth species to be caught in Palm Tree to exceed 100lb. In addition to this he also caught a number of other superb catches that included Siamese carp, Chinese highfin catfish, alligator gar, the 'Friendly Mekong', giant featherback, mollycot, black shark minnow, wallago attu, striped catfish as well as both amazon and Asian redtail
 
 
 
 
What a great post pandemic return to Palm Tree it was for Dean Turner in March catching not one but two BIG Carp Club t-shirt qualifying Siamese carp as well as a swag of pbs that also included chao phraya catfish, alligator gar, albino chao phraya, bearded labeo, mrigal and giant featherback. It was another good session for Dean McEwan when he returned in March catching an awesome Salween rita, a very plump tambaqui and another three figure Siamese carp. Eddie Stephenson returned in March and finally caught the ripsaw catfish he had been after for some time. He also landed pb giant featherback and catla carp, as well as Chinese bighead carp, Siamese carp, Mekong catfish, alligator gar, striped catfish, wallago attu, and both amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Donald McMillan returned after a long absence in March and was soon back in the swing of things catching the 'Friendly Mekong' twice in the same day as well as some awesome giant featherback and alligator gar. He also landed a number of other species that included catla carp, rohu, clown feaherback, striped catfish, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Tim and the guides had a successful dabble during the month using mainly small livebaits and sweetcorn catching some of the more rarely caught species like granulated catfish, boeseman crocker and grass carp. Andy Rutherford made his long awaited return to Palm Tree in March this time catching four new pbs chao phraya catfish, black shark minnow, mollycot and rohu which was also a new species for him. He also landed leopard catfish, alligator gar, striped catfish, Mekong catfish, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Uncle Terry Eustace was back and even at the tender age of 81 is still managing to land Siamese carp over the 100lb mark. In addition to this he also landed a variety of other species which included a rare albino mollycot, giant featherback, alligator gar, striped catfish, Juliens golden price carp, mollycot, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Richard Carlson and his son had a very enjoyable session in March catching a variety of species that included Mekong catfish, Siamese carp, giant featherback, rohu, clown featherback, striped catfish, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Micky Quayle finally got back to Palm Tree in March after several aborted attempts and this time caught an impressive Salween catfish, as well as spotted featherback, a number of giant featherback, an albino chao phraya which were all new species for him. He also landed Siamese carp, Mekong catfish, striped catfish, catfish shark, and both Amazon and Asian redtail. He also landed his first arapaima but it turned out to be camera shy and jumped out of the cage..

Mark Fullard first trip to Palm Tree and indeed Thailand in March was an enjoyable one with him landing the 'Friendly Mekong' along with a number of other species that included albino pacu, alligator gar, clown featherback, striped catfish, catfish shark, at well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Tap of 'Bangkok Fishing Guide' brought a customer over in March who had an enjoyable session catching not one but two Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Catfish club qualifying Mekong catfish.
